Adele tagged me into this @ Adele Is Reading but it didn’t ping back to me, so I was surprised to see that I was tagged in it after reading her post. I just didn’t have time to post it until now because of blogoween.

What is your favourite genre?

I think it’s either fantasy romance or paranormal romance. I need romance in my books but fantasy and paranormal books are the best. I think I just love being sucked into these magical worlds and beings that don’t really exist in the real world.

Who is your favourite author from that genre?

I don’t have any favorite authors.

I mean I’ve read a lot of books from few authors like Jennifer L. Armentrout and Cassandra Clare but I wouldn’t call them my favorite authors.

I loved few Armentrout’s book series but I didn’t even continue her Covenant series after book one. I just felt like the series was like Vampire Academy 2.0 and I didn’t even find the characters interesting.

What is it about the genre that keeps pulling you back?

There’s just so many worlds to learn about. I like to find out how different writers mythology, paranormal beings, like vampires etc.

What is the book that started your love for that genre?

I think it was The Mortal Instruments from young adult books and The Immortals After Dark from adult books.

If you had to recommend at least 1 book from your favourite genre to a non-reader/someone looking to start reading this genre, what book would you choose and why?

Black Dagger Brotherhood. This is’t for younger readers since these books have sexual content but they are probably my favorite paranormal romance books. They have vampires, romance and action. There’s so many books in this series but since every book is about different characters you won’t get bored.

Why do you read?

I’ll quote Adele: “I read because I love the escape that I get whenever I read books. Plus, if I didn’t have books I’d have no idea what my life would look like now and that scares me.”

One of the reasons I love romance so much is because I don’t have it in my own life and I can get lost in books, which makes me forget my own life.

Another reason why I read is because I’m not a social person, so books make me feel less alone.

  1. I relate to all of these answers on the highest of highest levels. And as a person who has read the entire covenant series– you are completely right about it being a vampire academy 2.0. Like spot on replica lol.

  2. Thank you for the tag !!
I’d highly recommend Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign serie if you haven’t read it already xx It’s fantasy paranormal with both F/M & M/M romance !
