Two years ago, the Iron Rogues’ Road Captain realized Blakely was the woman who was meant to be his. But she was too young for Storm, so he protected her from afar, waiting for the day when he could finally claim her.

Only before he could come for Blakely, she was kicked out by the foster parents who’d promised him they would take care of her. Believing that Storm had deserted her, she was forced to run to her father’s MC for help.

Now Storm is determined to deliver payback to the people who betrayed her. But his biggest obstacle will be earning back Blakely’s trust.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Blakely was kidnapped when she was twelve years old and her single dad went to jail. She didn’t have any other family but she Gideon aka Storm. That changed few years ago when he had gotten out of military. She couldn’t understand why he broke his promise.

Gideon planned to go back to her when she turned eighteen but that didn’t happen. He dropped everything the minute he found out what happened with her. I liked how Blakely wasn’t just love struck teenager who forgave him the minute he showed up but made it clear that he wouldn’t be Gideon to her again until she could trust him.

All in all it was nice to get back to this world. I just wish they had dealed more with her trust issues. It’s like they all disappeared when Gideon was back in her life and he didn’t even need grovel much. But thankfully he showed with his actions how much he cared about her and how he wouldn’t let anything between them. This book also made me really exited for Whiskey’s book!

ARC Review: Blade by Fiona Davenport

Blade by Fiona Davenport
Series: Iron Rogues MC, #3
Genre: Contemporary | Romance | Novella
Age Range: Adult Audience
Format: eBook, 87 pages

Synopsis:
Toby “Blade” Barker didn’t plan to claim an old lady like his club president and VP had recently done. As the doctor for the Iron Rogues, his time was rarely his own. But his good intentions went out the window when he met Elise Ayers.

It didn’t matter that the injured beauty was too young for him. Or that she was his club brother’s little sister. All it took was one look for Blade to know that Elise was meant to be his.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Elise Ayers loved her brother to pieces and he did his best to be there for her, but for the most part, she grew up like an only child since there was ten ten year age gap between them. She never wanted any possible children she’ll have to feel the kind of loneliness she felt since her parents were never there for her.

I liked that Elise’s brother was protective of her but it also annoyed me how he didn’t care what she wanted and just thought Blade was taking advantage of her. I liked the relationship we saw with these sibling. He had regrets not being there for her when she was growing up and she loved him but also wouldn’t let him tell her what to do. Elise knew what she wanted and she wanted to be with Blade.

Elise was compassionate. She had a huge heart and all Blade wanted was for her wonderful heart to belong to him. Toby “Blade” Barker was the kind of possessive hero I love to read about. He trusted her but he didn’t want other guys to even breathe the same air as her, especially when they were attractive.

All in all one of my favorite reads in this month so far. I really liked the romance between these two characters. Blade was possessive and protective and Elise was everything he didn’t know he needed. I haven’t read a lot of brother’s best friend books but I think this was written well. Neither character felt the need to give apologies for their feelings or need to hide what they felt. Add motorcycle club romance to the mix and I had such fun time with this book even though I got distracted at times.

Synopsis:
All it took was one look for Kye “Fox” Pearson to know that Dahlia Mackenzie was meant to be his. Then she took off with plans to head to Europe for three months, forcing him to chase her down. Being stranded by a hurricane in a safe house with only one bed was the opening he needed to claim the fiery redhead.

Unfortunately, someone was out for revenge against the club president…and his woman ended up being in the line of fire.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

We met Dahlia and Fox in book one. He saw her and immediately knew that she was his. Dahlia was planning to fly to Europe and of course he couldn’t loose her. He had know the second he saw her that there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her. She owned him from that moment on.

I really liked the sisterly bond Dahlia had with her sister. It’s so refreshing to read about sisters who are actually good to each other and the other doesn’t annoy me. It was also fun to see how they thought it was ironic how they fell for guys with the same overprotective streak as their father.

Fox is an age gap MC insta love romance. I liked it but I felt like it didn’t different much from book one, so that’s why I only rated it three stars. I also really liked that we had a character from Davenport’s mafia book here!

ARC Review: Maverick by Fiona Davenport

Maverick by Fiona Davenport

Genre: Contemporary | Romance | Novella

Synopsis:
Maverick Crawford knew that Molly Mackenzie was off limits. She was too young for him…and a Silver Saints MC princess. Her protective father was their president, so starting anything with Molly would cause trouble between their clubs.

But that didn’t stop Maverick from taking her straight out of their tattoo parlor and claiming her for himself. Only someone wanted the feisty redhead to belong to them instead.

ARC provided by the author in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Maverick is the first book for Iron Rogue MC series, spin off for Silver Saints MC. This book is about Molly Mackenzie (if you’ve read the other series, you might be familiar with her father, Mac) and Maverick Crawford. I love the other series but I was also happy to see the other MC in this world.

Maverick is insta-love MC book with a little action that tells a story about Maverick going to a birthday party and being obsessed with Molly after seeing her play with kids. He had a plan to just take it slow and see Moly but he couldn’t get her out of his mind and he just wasn’t patient enough.

I really enjoyed this book. Just like her mother, Molly was willing to be “kidnapped” but she’s also like her father, knows defense and is sassy. Molly even wanted her sister to cover for her with their father. Maverick is a protective and possessive as you can expect from Fiona Davenport’s heroes.

I liked that Maverick and Molly complete each other. She needed someone who was protective, fearless and someone who would fight for her instead of being afraid of her father. He needed someone who understood club business and was understanding when he had to leave.

All in all I really enjoyed this book! It was just a read I needed at the moment and I almost didn’t want to put it down to eat lunch.
