Top Five Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. Today’s topic was a freebie and I decided to go with my favorite female characters since I think we focus way too much on book boyfriends
It was hard to decide between Feyre and Tessa Grey to go with the fifth place in my list. I love The Infernal Devices so much more than I like ACOTAR these days. After rereading these books this year I learned that while I still love the second book– I’m also over Maas’ writing. Those books are way too long and don’t have enough romance for me anymore.
That said I love Feyre! I know many people think she’s overrated and all but to me she’s strong. As a little sister who takes care of her older sister, I can relate how she’d do everything for them. Unlike my sister, though Feyre’s sisters don’t deserve it, especially Nesta. I mean Feyre is the youngest sister of three and she hunted food for her whole ungrateful family and she went through bigger trauma than her sisters did in my opinion and she became stronger for that.
I thought I knew what kickass female character meant until I read this series. Harper is a kickass demon in her own right. She has her own sexy demon but she doesn’t need him to come save the day. Harper would do anything to people she loves and she isn’t afraid to tell women after her man how delusional they are.
I think from my favorite book female characters Sydney went through the most character development. I loved to see her grow and realizing that everything isn’t as black and white as she was raised to believe.
It has already been a year or two when I reread the original Lux series with Demi and I was so exited to see her making appearance in The Burning Shadow. Katy loves reading and is a fellow book blogger. She also managed to catch herself a sexy alien.
I can’t tell you how much I love our little nerd and her obsession with comics and Harry Potter. She’s such a sweetie and she deserves everything that’s good in the world. She actually shares her birthday with my best friend!
