Top 5 books with disability rep

Top Five Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads. Today’s topic was favorite books featuring characters with a disability.

5. Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon

This isn’t only a series about sexy aliens but it also have characters with depression and a female character that’s deaf. I think there was even a hero without a leg.

There might be more examples but this series is so huge that I can’t remember at the moment.

4. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

There’s two books for this series so far but The Bride Test is my favorite. Both books deal with autism.

3. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Cinder has lost her a hand and foot as a result of being caught in a fire accident as a child. It doesn’t stop her normal life thought because she becomes a cyborg.

2. Transcendenceby Shay Savage

I don’t really know if I can count this one as disability rep but the hero is a literal caveman and doesn’t understand spoken language. He has difficulties just saying the heroine’s name.

1. Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R Ward

There are quite a few characters with a disability rep in this series but m favorite one is Wrath. He’s a blind vampire king.

Extra Mentions
  • Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
  • The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter

What are your favorite books with disability rep? Opinions about my picks?
