Storm and Fury wasn’t something I was planning to read because truth to be told I didn’t really like him in the spin off, The Dark Elements. I reconsidered after finding out Roth aka my favorite demon appears but it still took me awhile. I still wasn’t that motivated because I thought we would get as little as we got Daemon in The Darkest Star.
Fellow bloggers have loved this series and I really wanted to enjoy Zayne’s book as much as they did. I think it would’ve been more enjoyable if it had been in Zayne’s POV. There’s nothing wrong with Trinity and I actually like her. She’s powerful and reckless like Layla but I also wasn’t interested in her life really before she met Zayne. I think I wouldn’t have minded that much if I hadn’t read The Dark Elements because some ‘shocking’ things weren’t so shocking since I knew about them already.
I liked Zayne better than in the spin off but I also felt like Armentrout was trying to rewrite his history or is it just because I didn’t like him? I just didn’t like Zayne described his relationship with Layla to me it always seemed like he didn’t see her until Roth showed interest. He was right about some stuff though, like Layla just assuming things were like before.

I don’t have much to say about the romance but it’s only the first book of the series. I liked seeing them becoming friends and then even something more but I also found the relationship heartbreaking.
I loved to see more Nikolai but I might have enjoyed reading about Peanut even more. Also I’d love to see Cayman have his own book.
All in all I didn’t hate or love this book. I felt like it was The Dark Elements rewrite with some differences. I’m intrigued what happens next but I found the first book a little predictable.

My reasons were similar on why I didn’t start reading SaF as well! Then i just wanted to check it out and i was so surprised with how much I liked it! Layla annoyed me a little in this book, did she annoy you love?

Yes! She already picked Roth and then acted like she still loved Zayne just as much. Like let the man get over you already and Roth deserved better.

This right here is why I’m still on the fence about reading this book. I just couldn’t stand Zayne at all, so I need to forget a little bit about me hating him to enjoy his book.
