I left my life behind me.
I need room to breathe and room to think, to make my own choices and to own my mistakes.
Bitterness and anger cloud my judgment when it comes to the MC. What is so great about them that I can’t have on the outside? What is so great about the patch?
That is all I’ve experienced with the club.
I hated to leave my sister. She’s the only reason I stayed as long as I did.
But it’s time for something new.
And yet, I find myself searching for trouble, wanting—needing to be someone’s savior.I have the best poker face, but when I lay down my winning hand and they shove a girl at me, bound and scared, for my prize, I knowI’ve landed in the middle of something bigger than me.The girl? Scarlett Rose.
My reason for being.
I just have to prove it to her.
She needs protection, and I’ll die before they hurt her again.
Boomer is the second book in Ruthless Kings MC series. When I started this book there wasn’t synopsis in Goodreads yet, so I had no idea who Boomer was. He was in Reaper but I didn’t remember him until I started the first chapter.
Boomer decides to leave his family and friends to find himself. I like Boomer more in this book but he has a lot of problems of thinking he’s unworthy.
Boomer and Scarlett’s romance was insta love but they didn’t get together the minute they met because of what Scarlett has been through. I love how Boomer was taken by her immediately but I thought it was a little overkill how he was a little interested even without meeting her by just hearing her name. Boomer likes to call her sugar because she looks all sweet and delicious, something that can be bad and good at the same time.
I’m glad many characters from Reaper appeared in this one but I’m sad we didn’t get to see Sarah reacting to Boomer or meeting Scarlet.
