It’s my second day hosting and I want to mention some of the magical creatures I’d love to have as my familiar if I was a witch.

Prompt

If you were a witch which magical creatures would you want as your familiar?

Hopper (Bloodlines by Richelle Mead)

This one would be my first option. Hopper is my favorite magical creature. I’m a reader– book dragon like some people would say so why wouldn’t I want Callistana aka a demon that looks like a tiny dragon for myself who would be always there to keep me safe?

Salem (Sabrina the Teenage Witch)

Salem is a witch who was sentenced to spend 100 years as a cat by the Witches Council as punishment for attempting to take over the world. Salem was a witch himself, so he’d be very helpful to have as my familiar. It doesn’t hurt that he’s funny. I can relate to most of the stuff Salem says, so I think we would get along perfectly.

Toad (The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alaxandra Bracken)

Toad is a kitten with bat wings. I know he’s already Nell’s familiar but I’d gladly take him as mine.

Bambi (The Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout)

Bambi is a snake tattoo that I could let out every time I needed her help. I don’t really want to get a real tattoo but if I could get a familiar I’d do it.

The Lying Cat (Saga by Brian K. Vaughan)

Another cat in this list. The lying cat would be very useful since he could tell me every time someone is lying to me.

  1. Oh I love Hoppe! I like Bambi too butt no one beats Hopper. And I like Bloodlines more than The Dark Elements, it’s just more my thing. Don’t get me wrong I love TDA too 🙂

HOPPERRRRRR *dances about* love Hopper and Bambi sounds like a really cool familiar, which makes me want to read The Dark Elements series even more now *wails* (OH BUT I GOT THE FIRST TWO BOOKS IN THE LUX SERIES ALAS! I borrowed them from my library hehe, so I’ll hopefully read them this month!)

    I think for my familiar I’d either have a dragon or a wolf, a dragon is just a no brainer for me and a wolf because I adore them and if my wolf was the pack leader then I’d have the whole pack to help me out. (at least that’s my logic)

      1. Yasssss I shall be starting the series this month hopefully hehe. Yeah dragon and wolf….I mean I could just have two familiars right? xD
