Welcome to my first hosting day in 2019. I was supposed to come back and add some things here later but unfortunately I suddenly learned that I was having surgery and I’m actually getting home today. You can check other amazing prompts here.
This post is all about one of my favorite villains ever. Contains spoilers for the sixth season of The Vampire Diaries.
Pick a villain and talk about what you love about him/ her. You can talk about why you liked them more as a bad guy than as a good guy.
I chose to go with Kai Parker because I liked him from the first scene I ever saw him in and in my opinion he’s the only reason I didn’t feel like ripping my hair out while watching sixth season of The Vampire Diaries. I’m not gonna lie– I hated most of the plot in that season but I’d gladly rewatch it for Kai.
There are villains that you like and then theres the ones that you despite– some reason I’ve always liked Kai. I don’t know if it’s because his humor or how badass he is. I mean he’s totally evil but I’d fight for him.
“Who names their kid Malachai? It’s like they expected me to be evil.”
Kai was a Siphoner so unlike most witches he didn’t have any personal magic and had to absurd other people’s magic or spells from objects and places. That’s why his family considered him as abomination.
“Family called me an abomination…that hurt my feelings.”
Kai is a sociapath. He tried to kill all of his siblings, so his coven send him to a prison world. He was different from his family because unlike them, he didn’t have any powers.
He was stuck in his “personal hell” for years and even tried to kill himself in lots of different ways but failed every time.
“So I started writing, and this water literally started pooling in my eyes. Has that ever happened to you? Like water just oozing out of my eyeballs like I’m some alien creature excreting fluids.”
Kai didn’t feel emotions before she emerged with Luke. He wanted to make up for the things he did to Bonnie but she cared more about getting back at him than how he was changing.
Bonnie didn’t think he could ever hurt anyone after what she did but Kai managed to come with Siphoners and badass that he is killed rest of his family.
“See, when your family decides that you’re nothing but an irredeemable piece of trash, well, guess the best thing to do is prove them right, right?”
Making villains is good and all but I’m actually glad he didn’t become good (even though I blame Bonnie for that) because so many villains are just so much better as evil than as good guys. Let’s take the Mikaelsons from The Originals and Angelus from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for example. I felt like the Mikaelsons were totally OOC in that show and let’s face it Angel is boring compared to Angelus.
Which villain is your favorite for a reason or another?
