They call me the Devil’s assassin. It’s true. I have blood on my hands.
As the VP of the Serpents, my life is driven by loyalty, honor, brotherhood.
Until I see her.
Too young, too innocent. Mine to claim.
What I am, what I do, can never reach her. My dark secrets are scars I bear alone.
I’m torn between my duties and the woman I’ll die to protect.
Until…they try to take what’s mine.
I never read the first book of Kings MC but Clipped Wings sounded promising and I knew it could be read as standalone, so here we are. This book got me wanting to read more MC romance books again.
“Knowing no other man has had you, that you’re all mine, it does things to me. Turns me on in a way I’ve never felt. You’re better than a ride or a drug. You’re pure freedom, Sparrow.”
Our heroine Erika considers herself as the lame sister; she doesn’t drink, party, smoke pot etc. Amberlee on other hand does all of those things and has sex with guys Erika brought home. Erica prefers reading books and eating healthily.
Dominic doesn’t care about a lot of things besides his brothers and that people tell him the truth but then he meets Erika.
“There’s nothing I won’t do for you. You’re everything to me.” Kissing between her legs, her body quivers, needy for my touch. “Every man has a weakness. I didn’t have one…until I met you.”
In the Clipped Wings Erika sees bikers all the time in her house because of her sister but she never wants anything to do with them until she meets Dominic. Other bikers even disgusts Erika but she can’t help but want Dominic since he saved her from one of his brothers.
I just love getting sucked into a book like I did with Clipped Wings. I think rape was used a little too much as the storyline but I just loved this insta love. I don’t know why but I just love stories where bad boys have never fallen in love but then they meet the heroine and choose her over everything else.
