Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme in Goodreads, where you list your top 5 for the week’s chosen topic. You can check the group here for more discussions and topics. Top five Wednesday is still in summer holiday so I chose to go with old topic “Discuss the books you’ve picked up because you’ve heard of them in the online book community or platform you use.”
Ruby @ Ruby’s Books is amazing fellow blogger and she introduced me to Read Me Romance -podcast. It had been years since I’ve listened to any audiobooks or read Alexa Riley books and this one was the first five star book I found there. You can read my review here.
This was not a five star read for me but it’s so high in this list anyway because I’m still not over how much I enjoyed reading this book considering how out of my comfort zone it is. This one was recommended to me by several people in twitter over the years. You can read my review here.
I almost forgot that I only read this for the first time before I even started blogging. Some of you might already know this but I’m a huge Klaroline fan. I didn’t even know these books existed but I think it was Sim (back when we talked) aka fellow Klaroliner who suggested I give this book a try since she knew I love reading books. She was like “Jamsu, you need to read ACOTAR. The first books isn’t that good but the second book makes it so worth it. Rhysand and Feyre remind me of Klaroline” so of course I picked up the first book. I was a little meh about it but I loved the second book. You can read my review of third book here since I didn’t start blogging until I was re-reading that one.
I read one of Sophie @ Beware Of The Reader‘s mental health posts and The Kiss Quotient was in that list. I was very intrigued about reading a book with asperger. I gave TKQ four stars but I loved the sequel even more, giving it five stars. You can read my review of TKQ here and The bride Test here.
I love, love, love this demon series that was recommended to me by Renee @ Addicted To Romance when I decided to join Romanceopoly and told her how I wanted to read more books about demons. Dark In You became one of my favorite series. You can read my reviews for the series here.
What are some books someone in online book community got you to read? Has my blog ever made you read anything?
Yes, I totally agree about loving The Bride Test more than The Kiss Quotient. It was so beautiful! 😭💕

I’ve definitely added a couple of books to my tbr because of you! Though I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet, and thanks to the online book community I’ve read Descendant of the Crane, Spin the Dawn, A Spark of White Fire, and like so many more lol

I’m glad to hear that! I hope you’re going to enjoy the ones you’re actually going to read. I just love how people in online book community suggest reading something and actually end up loving them.

Thank you for the shoutout!! And yay for more audiobooks! You definitely made me read a lot of Alexa Riley books. I’m going to read Ruby Dixon because you suggested it too. ACOTAR and The Raven Boys are two of the books that come to mind when thinking about books I read because of the online book community. Actually a lot of the books I’ve read in the last 9 years are because of the online book community lmao

No problem! Alexa Riley is amazig and I wish there was more of their books in physical copy. I’m actually currently re-reading some of Ruby Dixon’s books. Which one of hers are you giving a chance?
