Top 5 Movies in my TBW list

Top 5 Movies in my TBW list.png

Hello! I have been very busy lately with moving to my first very own apartment and haven’t had even energy to blog hop. I’m very sorry about that but after coming from work I suddenly had this idea of doing a list of movie in my to be watched -list I still haven’t managed to watch.

I don’t know if you guys know this but I don’t watch many movies. I used to watch like five movies a day when I was in my early teens but now as an adult I can’t settle down enough to not get distracted while watching them.

After

Genre: Drama, Romance
Starring: Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Khadijha Red Thunder
Released on 12 April 2019 (Finland)
Rating: K-12

Synopsis:
A young woman falls for a guy with a dark secret and the two embark on a rocky relationship. Based on the novel by Anna Todd.
I read the books maybe a year after Fifty Shades and I found that they had way, way too much drama and couldn’t even finish the re-reading but does that stop this book from being on this list? Of Course not.
Dumplin

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Musical
Starring: Danielle Macdonald, Jennifer Aniston, Odeya Rush
Released on 7 December 2018 (USA)
Rating: PG-13

Synopsis:
Willowdean (‘Dumplin’), the plus-size teenage daughter of a former beauty queen, signs up for her mom’s Miss Teen Bluebonnet pageant as a protest that escalates when other contestants follow her footsteps, revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town.
I haven’t read this book yet but when I do I’d like to watch this. It would be nice to see YA main character that’s plus-size.
The Darkest Minds

Genre: Action,Adventure, Drama, Romance, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Starring: Amandla Stenberg, Mandy Moore, Bradley Whitford
Released on 3 August 2018 (Finland)
Rating: K-12

Synopsis:
Imprisoned by an adult world that now fears everyone under 18, a group of teens form a resistance group to fight back and reclaim control of their future.
Another book to film I was supposed to read ages ago but never did so this movie remains in my list.
Terminator: Genisys

Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke
Released on 26 June 2015 (Finland)
Rating: K-12

Synopsis:
When John Connor, leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline.
I didn’t even know this movie existed until a little while ago. I loved these movies when I was younger but I think the last one I saw (I guess 4th one?) was a little too action packed and not enough humor for my taste.
Everything, Everything

Genre: DramaRomance
Starring: Amandla Stenberg, Nick Robinson, Anika Noni Rose
Released on 24 May 2017 (Finland)
Rating: K-7

Synopsis:
A teenager who’s spent her whole life confined to her home falls for the boy next door.
One of my online friends send me the trailer back in 2016 or 2017 and I liked it so much that I got that feeling that I need to see it. I guess I’m just afraid it’s going to be too similar with that movie based on John Green book.
Don’t expect me to remember the name because I’d totally mess it up. Don’t judge me… I can see you. I’ve never read any of his books and I only saw that movie once.

What movies are on your list?

  1. I want to watch After too although it’s only so I can criticise it and hate it but 🙈🙈

    1. I’d probably criticize After too. I mean their relationship was so toxic in the books from hat I ca remember. I guess I just want to see why it’s so hyped up.

I don’t really watch movies anymore unless they’re in Netflix or I know the book they’re based on so I have no idea what movie that is but there’s not anything wrong with adult movies. It’s unpopular opinion but I enjoyed FSOG movies.

    1. Is it that bad? I just loved the second and third movie in my early teens. I hope you’ll enjoy that Elton John movie more.

The Darkest Minds looks so good that I almost bought the book multiple times.
