I was so exited for these comics since I first time heard about them. Buffy has been one of my favorite shows since I was twelve and I was exited to see how different it would be set in this era instead of the 90s. I also hope we’re finally  getting out Spuffy endgame but my hopes aren’t that high with the last one. I’ve been disappointed too many times already. The writing was very good but I was confused at time who was narrating it.

“Is that an Englishman? Butchering English classics? The horrors of this town.”

I love all the little details they put from the show, like Buffy’s room and the training room. Tunaverse, where Buffy works reminds me of that burger place Buffy worked in season six. I also like the differences, like Joyce having a boyfriend. I actually feel bad for Eric because he’s trying too hard to make Buffy like him but Buffy’s  teenager so of course she had an attitude towards him.

I knew I was going to like Willow and Xander more in these comics than in the show and I was right. Jordie Bellaire actually succeeded making me feel bad for Xander. Xander feels left out but is too nice to say it to either Willow or Buffy. Just like in the show he has feelings for Buffy but he doesn’t try to control her or make her feel bad.

I’d recommend this comic to all the Buffy fans and even those who have never watched the show. Some characters are different, like Cordelia is actually nice and Anya isn’t just this naive girl who loves money. Willow isn’t scared to lie and I love her fashion sense in this reboot.

Could I get volume two already, please? I just hope it will have more Spike and him actually interacting with Buffy. I’d would be happy with him being his badass self with or without Drusilla but actually doing something besides texting and watching Dru bite someone. I’d rather he stayed with Drusilla than formed  relationship with Cordelia. I wasn’t a big fan of her in either show and I don’t really care for her in the comic so far either.
