I Heart Characters #17; A Female Slytherin Character

People who the sorting hat picks for this housing are cunning, resourceful, and ambitious. I had so many characters from both books and TV shows I could’ve picked for this one but after hearing the news about one of my all time favorite shows; Supernatural ending after Season 15 I knew that I had to choose either Rowena or Ruby (s3) for this prompt.

She’s a Powerful Witch

“That? Parlor trick! I’m capable of greatness. Given free reign I’d be unstoppable.”

Rowena is a powerful witch and was ready to do everything and anything to come into power, not excluding becoming the Queen of Hell. In the beginning she didn’t care who got hurt as long as she got what she wanted. Rowena is actually one of the only witches powerful enough to put Lucifer back into his cage. Her ego makes her believe she’s even more powerful than she really is and that causes problems with her enemies.

She might want power but when there’s Apocalypse coming she helps the Winchesters to save the world. Rowena is a survivor and life has taught her to be prepared, like in case of Lucifer breaking her neck.

The Past

“She was a horrible mother. Did I tell you the time she almost traded me for three pigs? Three! I was an attractive child. I could juggle. I was worth five pigs at least.”

Rowena didn’t want to be weak, so she became an abusive parent towards her son, Fergus. Other reason why she started hating her son was that he was part of the reason besides her violent use of magic why she was cast out from her coven.

In result of a witch hunt she had to leave her son in a squalid workhouse and later learned druid magic.

Manipulating Others

“You say that like it’s an insult. Nice girls, they’re pathetic. Here’s to evil skanks.”

Rowena likes manipulating people by acting nice towards them in order to get their trust. She explains her abounding his so by doing what was the best for them but it seems that she doesn’t actually care about him. She just wanted to use his position as King of Hell.

Rowena doesn’t believe in loyalty and even sacrifices the only person she ever loved to get her freedom back.
