I read the Finnish book, “Sinuun Kiedottu”

From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside–so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.

No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession…

Eva needs Gideon as much as she needed her heart to beat. I love it how she’s ready to fight for a future where she and Gideon aren’t prisoners of their past anymore.

Our couple would love nothing more than to scream to everyone how much they love each other but because of something that happened in books two they need to keep their relationship as a secret. It’s not helpful when people close to Eva wants her to move on and when their past lovers keep causing problems.

I love how their relationship has grown from earlier books. Instead of fighting about every single thing (not saying they don’t fight because they do) they actually trust in each other.

Richard (Eva’s step father) deserves better than Monica. She did him so dirty after everything he has done for her and her daughter. He’s always so understanding and then she went and did that. Jean-François also deserves better than his wife. What is it with these guys and terrible people they married?

There’s also some mystery that I hope will be solved in the next book. I really wonder who was the one protecting Gideon and why? And what is Gideon’s exes up to?

I read the Finnish book, “Sinun vallassasi”. Contains spoilers for Entwined with You.

Gideon calls me his angel, but he’s the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we’d exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened up old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp; my greatest fears becoming my reality; my love tested in ways I wasn’t sure I was strong enough to bear. At the brightest time in our lives, the darkness of his past encroached and threatened everything we’d worked so hard for. We faced a terrible choice: the familiar safety of the lives we’d had before each other or the fight for a future that suddenly seemed an impossible and hopeless dream…

Captivated by You starts with Gideon’s POV. He had a nightmare, so when Eva told him something that made him even more nervous he acted out and hurt her with words.

Victor was so happy when Eva told him that he can pay for the wedding. It’s so sweet how much he loves her and wants to do everything he can to help her. I love that Eva wanted red flowers for her wedding with Gideon since it’s their color.

I’m getting sick of these Gideon’s exes causing problems even though they know that Gideon doesn’t love them. Just because a guys doesn’t love you or hurt you once upon a time doesn’t mean you have to destroy them.

I disliked Eva’s mixed feelings for Brett and how Gideon was back to keeping everything from Eva. I could stomach Eva’s mixed feelings more if she hadn’t already married Gideon. I get that Gideon wants to keep Eva safe but keeping secrets from her only makes her feel like he takes her free will and that she can’t trust him. She hurts when he hurts and only wanted to be there for Gideon but instead he makes some decision for her without talking to her first.

I feel like this book took steps back from where Eva and Gideon’s relationship went in book three, so I couldn’t give it any more stars.
