The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I have mixed feelings about Clary but mostly I find her annoying and she never thinks before she acts. Jace is more likeable but I’m a little tired of “bad boy hides his feelings with sarcasm” type of characters. Alec and Simon overshadow them by far for me.
George Lovelace from Tales From Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare. I just want to protect George at all cost.
The only dysfunctional family I can think of at the moment is Angel and Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics by Joss Whedon. I’m sorry but I couldn’t think of any other dysfunctional families that I like.
I don’t even remember the name of this villain but that guy from Stone Cold Touch by Jennifer L. Armentrout. He just loved Lilith and wanted to free her. I’d do anything to people I love.
I don’t know what it’s about Lorcan’s name from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas but I always forget his name!
After reading Rick Riordan’s books I was so exited to start Jennifer L. Armentrout’s books about demigods. I heard so many good things about it from Facebook group that I ordered it and was exited to read it— and then I felt like I was reading Vampire Academy 2.0.
Sookie Stackhouse. I don’t even know why I own so many books about this series by Charlaine Harris since I don’t like the main character! I actually thought i’d get my endgame in the end after Sookie dated so many people just for her to settle with someone she didn’t even see herself with for years.
I knew I’d love Magnus Chase by Rick Riordan. I actually bought it before even reading Heroes of Olympus. In the end I ended up loving it even more than his Percy Jackson series.

I haven’t read the Buffy comics, but I love the idea of Angel and Spike as a dysfunctional family!

You barely saw their relationship in the comics (besides the fact that Angel expected Spike to destroy his own happiness soon enough) but if you’ve seen the shows you know what I’m talking about.

Oh, I agree with Simon being overshadowed. He was more enjoyable to read compared to Clary and Jace.
OOF to JLA’s new book about demigods – as much as I enjoyed Vampire Academy, I don’t think I love it enough to read a second version.
