Favorite Books Of 2018

bookending-winter.png

I decided not to use a prompt in this Bookending Winter 2018 post. I’m listing my new five star reads of 2018, so you’re not going to see rereads in this list.

The Supervillain And Me

This book surprised me. I was’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did since I don’t really like superheroes. You can read my review here.

The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding

I was so unsure about this book. I was unsure if I should buy it or not but I’m so happy that I did. You can read my review here. I just have a thing for demons, no matter if the book is middle grade or for adult audience.

Saga, Volume 1 and 3

I love these graphic novels. I haven’t been able to read all of them yet but volume three is my favorite so far. You can read my review of volume three here. I also loved the first volume.

Restore Me

Restore Me was another book I was afraid to read but ended up loving. Shatter me was supposed to be three book series so I was afraid what Mafi was going to do with it. Especially after I couldn’t finish Becoming Of Noah Shaw.

In the end I somehow ended up reading it in seven hours. No idea what witchery it was. You can read my review here.

The Ship Of The Dead

It has been forever since I read the last Magnus Chase book but I’m still craving for more. Why are there only three books? Things were just getting interesting. Sure, there weren’t any loose ends but I wanted more books with Magnus and the gang.

Cress

I can’t believe it has been almost a year since I read my favorite book of The Lunar Chronicles. What’s not to love about this one? I didn’t really care what happened with Cinder but I loved Cress, Thorne, Scarlett and Wolf.

Did I mention Cress and Thorne?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Spread of Their Evil (Season 11, Volume 1)

I have one word: Spuffy. I’m not compelled to read season 12 after what I’ve heard about it but season 11 was prime time for the comics.

What books were your favorite in 2018? Any thoughts about the ones I picked?

  1. I’ve only read Cress out of these and it was really cool! I loved the way the stories were retellings! I really need to read Restore Me! Everyone seems to love it!

      1. I would genuinely read a series that was just them going on adventures and throwing looks to each other!
