I Heart Characters #11; A Kickass Who’d Have Your Back

I decided to go with Buffy Summers. I wrote this post already once with different character but when wordpress decided not to save it, I took it as a sign to write about different character, so here we go. I think I would need Buffy’s help when the next big bad, or maybe even just a fledge was after me.

She’s the slayer

It’s kinda her duty to save my lazy ass. Buffy hangs around graveyards to fight against vampires, she’s kinda always there when something bad happens. For example, she happened to able to read minds just when Jonathan was thinking of killing himself.

No matter how many times Buffy tries to be ‘normal’ and not a slayer… she can’t. She’s the chosen one wherever she wanted to or not. She’s what monsters are afraid of.

“Do-do you think I chose to be like this? Do you have any idea how lonely it is, how dangerous? I would love to be upstairs watching TV or gossiping about boys or, God, even studying! But I have to save the world, again.”

She saves the world… a lot

Buffy can’t help herself. I don’t know if it’s because she’s the slayer or just who she is but she always saves the world, even if it kills her or someone she loves. The world comes first.

I’m a little jealous about blowing up her school, though.

Slayer dreams

Buffy isn’t only fast and strong because she’s the slayer but she also gets slayer dreams. These dreams are send by Powers That Be that want to warn her about things, like when she moved to Sunnydale and dreamed about Master.

Scooby gang

Fortunately Buffy doesn’t need to fight alone, even though she feels alone often. She has her friends to help her. She has a watcher. She has a vampire who is in love with her.
