This tag was created by a booktuber. I wasn’t tagged (don’t act like you’re surprised at this). I just wanted to share some of unpopular opinion of mine with you guys.

1. A Popular Book or series that you didn’t like

I wanted to go with a book series that I finished, so The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is a book series I changed my mind about. I liked book one but with every book I liked the series less and less. I just realized that I don’t like Katniss and Peeta deserved better.

2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love.

I don’t love Fifty Shades Of Grey by E.L James but I really enjoyed them. I have even reread them few times. I love Christian and Ana no matter how problematic they are.

3. A Love Triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with (warn ppl for spoilers) OR an OTP that you don’t like.

I can’t think of any book where character ends up with wrong person (I won’t count Grisha trilogy since I haven’t finished them even though I know she ends up with wrong person) so let’s go with OTP I don’t like and that’s Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson. I know most people absolutely love these two but I don’t really get it. I mean they were friends forever and then suddenly they’re dating and in love?

4. A popular book Genre that you hardly reach for.

Horror. I actually never reach for horror. This genre just isn’t for me.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like.

Nesta Archeron! I don’t want to give the same answer again, so let’s go with Jacob Black from Twilight. I’ve seen many people preferring him over Edward but I think he was such a jackass after he became a werewolf.

6. A popular author that you can’t seem to get into.

Leigh Bardugo.

7. A popular book trope that you’re tired of seeing. (examples “lost princess”, corrupt ruler, love triangles, etc.)

Love triangles. Some people can write them well (like Cassandra Clare did with Will/Tessa/Jem) but others just– no. I’m so tired of reading them in every single YA series.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading.

I think I’m never going to start A Song Of Ice And Fire and The Maze Runner.

9. The saying goes “The book is always better than the movie”, but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?

The Vampire Diaries! I loved the show’s first three seasons. It was epic until they made the Mikaelsons’ leave town and TVD just went downhill from there. I can relate to Caroline Forbes so much.

  1. I have to agree with you about The Hunger Games. I really liked the first two books, but Mockingjay was just slow and my ship majorly sunk. I feel like the romance between Peeta and Katniss was too forced and her excuse for hating Gale was not good enough for me to give up on him. I still love the premise behind the world and it was monumental in the world of YA literature, but it is not one of my favorites anymore. (The movies were great though!)

As for genres, I don’t really reach for horror or mystery. For starters, I don’t like being scared. I also don’t like all of the tropes and cliches that are abundant in both genres.

I also completely understand about not wanting to read Game of Thrones or The Maze Runner. With all of the hype and spoilers I have already been exposed to in regards to Game of Thrones, I don’t see a point in starting it. I already know most of the major plot points just from being on Twitter. I read The Maze Runner a while ago, but I am not going to continue with the series. It just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

    • I actually shipped her with Peeta and never cared for Gale 🙈I just noticed that i didn’t like Katniss. as much as i like the ship i don’t get where katniss’ feelings for peeta came from and he just deserved better than her.

  2. I agree that I never really read horror. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just not what I’m usually in the mood for reading. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Jacob Black. I didn’t hate him but I wanted her to be with Edward and I felt like everyone only wanted her to be with Jacob because they were attracted to Taylor Lautner. I also really liked the first few seasons of TVD. I’ve never read the books, but if you think they weren’t as good as the show I probably never will haha. This seems like a really fun tag. Wonderful answers 🙂

    • I didn’t finish all the tvd books bc i started to dislike elena and damon in the show but the books were weird af. i might give them another chance at some point though since the show isn’t probably affecting my opinion anymore. it didn’t help that caroline is so different in the books and she’s my favorite in the show.

I didn’t hate jacob. he just got to my nerves because he always thought he was the “good” one and bella should just break up with edward to be with him even though she loved edward.

      • That makes sense! I preferred Elena to be with Stephen in the show. I hope if you give them another chance that you enjoy them more this time 🙂 What is Caroline like in the books?

I totally agree with that. He got to be very pushy at times.

      • She’s how can I say this…? Jealous bitch? She stole Elena’s diary etc. They are’t friends in the books if I remember correctly.

I prefer Stelena too, mostly because I want Stefan to stay away from Caroline lol
